Here he was served with devotion by one Bh&#257&#299 M&#257&#7751ak Chand. After the Gur&#363's departure he constructed a memorial on the spot where the Gur&#363 had stayed, on the northern edge of the village and where Gurdw&#257r&#257 S&#257hib P&#257tsh&#257h&#299 Chhev&#299&#7749 was later established. According to local tradition, Gur&#363 N&#257nak had also visited Ako&#299. The building constructed by Sard&#257r D&#299v&#257n Si&#7749gh of Ba&#7693rukkh&#257&#7749 still survives. It consists of a small room for the Gur&#363 Granth S&#257hib, in a long and narrow hall, with a vaulted roof. A new hall, including the sanctum was constructed adjacent to the old building in 1979. A new complex comprising the Gur&#363 k&#257 La&#7749gar and lodgings for pilgrims has also been added.
